The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration wants to talk directly with drivers about the medical certification process and will take its show on the road for two truck stop visits this summer.
FMCSA’s first “road show” will be from 8 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 21 at the Flying J Travel Plaza in Indianapolis.
The second event is scheduled to be in the Washington, DC, area on Aug. 18.
The meetings will be presented by Mary Gunnels, Ph.D., FMCSA director of the Office of Medical Programs, and Benisse Lester, M.D., the agency’s chief medical officer.
“Do you have questions or comments for FMCSA? Share what is on your mind at a listening session. This is your chance to tell FMCSA what you think,” reads an announcement for the meeting.
Those interested in attending are asked to email contactnrcme@dot.gov.
