In south Florida, a state Highway Patrol trooper is under arrest on charges that he wrote more than 200 phony traffic tickets to make himself look good to his superiors.
The Miami Herald report Wednesday, Feb. 3, that Paul Lawrence would allegedly write up new tickets on drivers using information he obtained on an earlier traffic stop.
The patrol became suspicious when motorists started calling in to complain they’d received tickets citing locations, dates and supposed offenses that they knew nothing about.
