For truckers traveling on I-80 over the Fourth of July weekend, the California Department of Transportation is warning of some “major delays” between Truckee and the Nevada state line.

According to a Caltrans traffic alert, only three or four traffic lanes are going to be available. The construction is part of the $71 million Truckee River Canyon project, expected to be completed in the fall of 2011.
