We end the week with the price of diesel fuel down 10 cents from Monday.

ProMiles had the national average price at $3.80 a gallon on Friday, Oct. 10. That’s almost a dollar less than the record high price in mid-July. And just a month ago diesel sold for $4.212 a gallon.

Oil was trading at around $81 a barrel today, $66 below its record high.

OPEC ministers, who think the price is getting too low, plan to meet next month to discuss possible cutbacks in oil production.
