New Jersey lawmakers sue Corzine

A pair of state lawmakers in New Jersey has filed a lawsuit against Gov. Jon Corzine, hoping to force him to reveal the findings of a report on highway funding options.

Republican Assembly members Jennifer Beck, R-Morganville, and Sean Kean, R-Wall, claim the governor is hiding the $800,000 study because the public would be up in arms if its contents were known.

Corzine is a Democrat, and the state legislature is controlled by Democrats.

Corzine has said that whatever proposal he eventually makes for highway funding won’t call for privatizing toll roads.
