A new study by the American Transportation Research Institute shows that executives of big trucking companies share some of the same concerns that have been voiced by OOIDA.
In a survey, trucking executives expressed a desire for increased flexibility of the split sleeper-berth provision of federal regulations, and for continuing the 11-hour driving rule and 34-hour restart provision.
OOIDA has argued in the courts and elsewhere that split sleeper-berth rules need to be relaxed, and that the 11-hour drive time and 34-hour restart should be maintained.
