The first two lanes on the new U.S. Highway 90 bridge in Mississippi, which connects Biloxi and Ocean Springs, are set to open in two weeks.

The $338 million bridge will have six lanes when it’s completed next year.

When the first lanes are opened on Nov. 1, a wreath will be thrown from the bridge into the harbor to commemorate those who died during Hurricane Katrina.
