An OOIDA member who was shot late Monday night, Oct. 8, at a trucking company just east of Atlanta died on Tuesday.

According to local media reports, 36-year-old Derrick Ware of Crawfordville, GA, had just started his first day at a new job with Brown Trucking in Lithonia, GA, when he was approached by two men dressed entirely in black.

Police say the men asked Ware for directions, then one of the men shot him.

The men fled in a black car.

Police haven’t speculated on the motive for the killing, according to media reports.
