Volvo rolls out 2010 test trucks

Volvo says it’s already delivered its first batch of field test trucks designed to meet the 2010 clean-air standards.

The company delivered five daycab models to a logistics company that hauls for the Pittsburg-based food retailer Giant Eagle.

Volvo 2010 engines feature selective catalytic reduction – or SCR – exhaust-gas recirculation and a particulate filter. The SCR requires a tank and injector for urea.
