High winds hit northwest

At least one tractor-trailer was partly overturned as winds of up to 100 mph swept through eastern Oregon and parts of other northwestern states early Monday morning, Nov. 12.

Television station KTVB reports a trucker who was pulling empty double trailers on I-84 near Pendleton was blown into a guardrail and left dangling at a steep angle.

The 65-year-old driver wasn’t hurt.
