North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven has extended an hours-of-service waiver for truckers who haul fuel to truck stops and gas stations.

The Jamestown Sun reports a previous waiver was set to expire Friday, Nov. 9, and that the extension will go through the end of the month.

North Dakota is one of a number of Midwestern states hit by a diesel shortage caused largely by temporary shutdowns at several refineries.
