Toronto truck ban proposal revived

A city councillor in Toronto has renewed his call to ban all trucks from the downtown area during the morning and afternoon rush hours.

Councillor Michael Walker says that banning delivery trucks from 7 a.m. to10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. would decrease congestion and pollution, according to information on his Web site.

Walker proposed something similar two years ago, but the idea never got off the ground.
