Tolls are going up on the International Bridge that carries Interstate 75 from Michigan to Canada at Sault Ste. Marie.

According to the Michigan Department of Transportation’s Web site, truck tolls are increasing from about $2.50 an axle to $3, making the toll for a five-axle truck $15.

The increases take effect Sunday, April 1. And although it is April Fools Day, unfortunately, this is no joke.
