Mixed bag for Canadian truckers

Truckers in Ontario who are seeking relief from an ongoing fuel shortage have been given one "yes" and one "no" from the government.

According to Canadian news sources, the government has agreed to allow truckers who haul fuel to drive longer than normally permitted, but denied the use of off-road diesel for on-road applications during the shortage.

According to the president of the Ontario Trucking Association, the government doesn't have the authority to suspend diesel fuel standards, even temporarily.
