For the second time, the trucking company CRST has won a battle against a competitor who was allegedly luring drivers away who’d been trained and placed under contract to CRST.
In a press release, the company said Werner Enterprises has agreed to a settlement in which Werner agrees not to hire any drivers who are under contract to CRST.
The settlement was preceded by a lengthy lawsuit in which a court rejected Werner’s contention that CRST’s drivers were merely “at will” employees instead of contract employees.
Last year, CRST announced it had reached a mutually agreeable settlement with J.B. Hunt following a similar lawsuit.
