The Tacoma Narrows bridge finally opened to the public Monday, July 16, in Tacoma, WA.

You may remember the bridge, even if you’ve never been on it. It made headlines earlier this year when a truck carrying a 100-ton neoprene expansion joint for the bridge got stuck in a two-state battle near the Washington state border over the truck’s unusually heavy weight.

Well, the expansion joint finally reached its destination, and the bridge – which includes a $3 toll – is open for business.
