Connecticut ethics chief resigns over alleged ethics violations

He may not have understood the meaning of his job title before, but the executive director of Connecticut’s Office of State Ethics certainly does now – he’s resigned amid charges that he violated the state’s motor vehicle laws.

The Associated Press reports that Benjamin Bycel moved to Connecticut from Vermont a year-and-a-half ago, and never bothered to register his vehicle or obtain a Connecticut driver’s license.

Because he didn’t register the vehicle, city officials told The AP he also owes back property taxes.
