This year’s version of the Walcott Truckers Jamboree gets going on Thursday, July 12, and continues through Friday, July 13.

The Jamboree takes place at the Iowa 80 Truck Stop – the “World’s Largest Truck Stop” off Interstate 80 in Walcott, IA – and features a truck beauty contest, antique trucks, exhibits, carnival games, a “trucker’s best friend” pet contest, food and music.

Organizers said the 2006 event drew a crowd of about 30,000 people.
