A judge in Toronto has denied bail for an alleged street racer who slammed into a semi on Highway 400 two weeks ago, causing trucker David Virgoe to crash.

Virgoe – who was crushed to death – was cited by witnesses as a hero for ditching his rig instead of plowing into traffic.

Nineteen-year-old Nauman Nusrat remains in custody, charged with multiple offenses including criminal negligence causing death.
