Paccar Inc., the parent company of Kenworth and Peterbilt, is planning to build a $400 million powertrain plant somewhere in the southeastern part of the country.

According to The Associated Press, Paccar says the plant is needed to meet ongoing strong demand, and that the facility will be the company's most technologically advanced operation.
