In Houston, the lawyer for former trucker Tyrone Williams presented witnesses on Wednesday who testified that Williams has been a "model prisoner" and is a loving person.

But according to The Associated Press, those same witnesses, when questioned by the prosecutor, admitted that they'd never heard Williams express remorse.

The jury is trying to decide whether Williams should be given life in prison or the death penalty after 19 illegal immigrants died from being left in the stifling trailer of his truck.
