Some states are talking about closing rest areas, but Mississippi - which closed many of its rest stops years ago - is reopening one.
According to the Clarion Ledger, the state has reopened the rest stop on U.S. Highway 49 between Pocahontas and Yazoo City - the only stop on that 30-mile-long stretch of highway north of Jackson.
Many of the state's rest stops were closed because of a combination of upkeep, crime and lack of use, the Ledger reported.
