Police in Lake Station, IN, are searching for clues after the discovery of a nude female body near a TA truck stop parking lot on Thursday, Feb. 22.
According to the Northwest Indiana Times, the body was revealed as snow melted and may have been in a grassy area at the truck stop for as long as nine days.
Police told the Times the woman apparently died from a blow to the head with a heavy object.
The Times reports that police have an idea of who the woman is, but aren't releasing that information. An autopsy was scheduled for Friday morning, but those results were not available as of press time.
Anyone with information relating to the investigation can call the Lake Station Police Department at (219) 962-1186.
