Winter weather proves deadly again in upper Midwest

Snow, ice and extreme cold continued to plague much of the nation on Wednesday.

So far, 11 deaths are being blamed on the recent weather conditions.

On Tuesday, Feb. 6, slippery conditions may have been a factor in a 40-vehicle pileup on Interstate 35 south of Minneapolis. According to local media reports, several tractor trailers were involved.

The wrecks - which shut down travel in one direction for about three hours - resulted in serious injuries to two people.
