Corzine seeks citation, pays fine

How often do you hear of someone asking to be fined?

According to Bloomberg, that’s what New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine did on Wednesday.

Corzine was critically injured last month in an SUV crash in which he was not wearing a seat belt – even though state law requires it.

The governor, who’s now out of the hospital, took some heat for not being buckled up.

On Wednesday at the governor’s mansion, he asked for and received a citation from a state police officer, and then wrote out a check for $46, Bloomberg reported.
