The city of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, has entered into a tentative $75-million agreement with Detroit to take full control of the Windsor-Detroit tunnel.
Right now, both cities own half of the tunnel
According to the Windsor Star, the deal may be a move to fend off any more attempts by Ambassador Bridge owner Mattie Maroun to take over the tunnel.
Two years ago, Maroun offered Detroit $30 million to take over its half of the tunnel for 100 years, and to set toll rates.
