Truckers and other drivers passing through Illinois can now find out about traffic problems on their computers.
By signing up through a new web site, ILtrafficalert.com, truckers will get reports sent directly to their e-mails from the state’s department of transportation.
The site covers 72 routes in Illinois, primarily in the Chicago area. But be patient – according to the Illinois DOT, so many people are signing up, setting up all the new accounts could take more time than expected.
