There’s a new twist on the driver-shortage debate emerging in Canada.

According to the Canadian trucking publication Today’s Trucking, some Canadian carriers think the supposed shortage of drivers is a good thing, because it keeps capacity tight – which, in turn, keeps rates high.

Ontario Trucking Association President David Bradley told Today’s Trucking there’s a “tug of war” going on between the two sides in the debate.
