Colorado rockslide kills trucker

A trucker was killed Saturday on Interstate 70 in western Colorado when a rockslide dropped tons of boulders on her tractor-trailer near De Beck.

The woman, 53-year-old Patricia Ann Bradshaw of Grand Junction, CO, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was hauling for Mile High Frozen Food and pulling a McDonald’s trailer.

State highway officials said heavy rains apparently loosened the soil on a sheer hillside beside the highway.

On Monday, the westbound lanes of I-70 remained closed at the rock slide, with the eastbound lanes handling traffic in both directions.
