The sheriff's department in St. Lucie County, FL, says four people who are in custody on federal drug charges are also "persons of interest" in connection with four family members who were found shot to death beside the Florida Turnpike.

At a press conference Friday morning, Oct. 27, officials said the killing of Jose and Yessica Escobedo and their two sons was deliberate, and may have been motivated by drugs, money, or both.

Authorities said they are also looking for several other people, including Jose Escobedo's brother, who's thought to have ties to a Gulf Coast drug cartel.
