Fox guarding the hen house on Big Dig inspections

A consulting firm that's being investigated in connection with a deadly ceiling collapse in one of Boston's Big Dig tunnels was ordered Tuesday to stop helping inspect repairs being made to the project.

According to The Associated Press, the firm - Bechtel/Parsons Brinkerhoff - managed construction of the $14.5 billion project, which has been plagued by leaks, cost overruns and, of course, the collapse.

"Bechtel is in the penalty box," Lt. Gov. Kerry Healy told The AP. "They should not be participating in the remediation process in any way."
