Caterpillar earns EPA certification for 2007 C-7 engines

Caterpillar officials announced the company's new medium-duty C7 diesel engine has been certified by the Environmental Protection Agency as compliant with the more stringent 2007 emission standards.

In a press release, Caterpillar stated the C7 reduces pollution through a combination of precision combustion, advanced electronics and after-treatment technology.

Several weeks ago, Volvo announced that three of its new heavy-duty truck engines had earned EPA certification.
