A former Oregon trucker has reached an undisclosed settlement with Roadway Express after the company refused to re-hire him after he was honorably discharged from the Army.

According to The Oregonian newspaper, Kevin Brown enlisted in the Army after working for a year as a driver and dock worker at the company's Portland, OR, operation.

The company reportedly demanded his resignation when he left and refused to re-hire him when he was discharged for medical reasons.

A Roadway attorney said the confidential settlement was "acceptable to both parties," according to media reports.
