Forecasters say another intense Pacific storm is set to hit the already-soaked northwestern U.S. on Friday.

In the state of Washington, numerous roads and highways remained closed Thursday because of mudslides, flooding or debris, including the eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 2, which were still closed as of Thursday afternoon because of a mudslide.

At least one person has been killed as a result of severe flooding.
