UAW Authorizes Delphi Strike

The United Auto Workers have voted to authorize a strike against auto parts supplier Delphi – if the company fails to honor its labor agreements.

Delphi, which is trying to emerge from bankruptcy, wants its union contracts nullified so that it can make drastic cuts in wages and benefits.

A strike against Delphi could hurt GM, which relies on the company for parts.
