A Canadian truck driver has been arrested after allegedly trying to smuggle illegal immigrants into the U.S.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman told the Detroit Free Press Monday, Jan. 16, that the 39-year-old driver from Windsor , Ontario , who was bound for Gary , IN , was acting nervous at the border crossing. So agents pulled him over for a search.

The driver was asked to open his trailer where authorities found six women and three men, all illegal Chinese immigrants.

While the immigrants face deportation, the driver faces possible criminal charges. His name has not been released.
