An
Illinois
truck driver is
being charged with reckless homicide following a March 2004 wreck that left a
family of four dead in
Tennessee
.
Nasko Nazov, who lives in
Illinois
,
was taken to
Greeneville
,
TN
, on Saturday, Jan. 7, to face the
charges. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday, Jan. 13, according to The Associated Press.
Nazov was also charged with illegally obtaining his
commercial driver’s license in
Illinois
,
a federal crime. He pleaded guilty to lying to a grand jury about those charges
in October 2005 and was sentenced to 10 months in prison.
According to the Chicago
Sun-Times, Nazov received his license in 2003. Roughly one year later, his
truck hit a pickup truck and car on Interstate 81 near
Baileyton
,
TN.
The accident killed Edward and Melissa Armstrong and their two children, Brittany
and Edward.
