Rockslide closes Highway 330 in California

A rockslide on California Highway 330 near Big Bear will keep the road closed for the next few days, according to officials with the state’s Department of Transportation.

According to media reports, the slide occurred around 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28. The roadway is closed from the junction of California Highway 30 to two miles west of Running Springs in San Bernardino County, and Caltrans has advised motorists to use nearby state Highway 38.

The road is not expected to reopen for several days, until road crews can clean debris from the road and check for the possibility of future landslides, KESQ-TV reported.
