Another city on the outskirts of Salt Lake City has passed a resolution opposing any tolls on the proposed Mountain View Corridor.
If approved, the highway would link Interstates 80 and 15 – but the city council in South Jordan, UT, is urging state lawmakers to find some way to fund the $2 billion highway without imposing tolls.
The Salt Lake Tribune reported that Council members said they fear motorists would avoid a toll road and take other nearby routes, causing even more congestion.
