A new study out of the Transportation Institute at Texas A&M argues that the proposed Trans-Texas Corridor won't meet the state's future highway needs, and will depend on the wrong kind of funding.

The study concludes that - even with the Corridor's toll roads - there will still be another $44 billion worth of highway construction necessary to handle the state's growing population.

The study also claims new highway construction can be paid for through existing fuel taxes, without imposing tolls.
