The owner of a truck driving school in St. Louis has pleaded innocent to charges that he paid bribes to a Missouri state examiner so students could get CDLs without passing the written or driving tests.
According to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, Adil Alagic reportedly paid between $200 and $600 per student to examiner Daniel Sumner over a three-year period.
Sumner hasn't been charged in the investigation.
Alagic's driving school was part of a trucking company operation called ASM Trans LLC.
According to media reports, prosecutors also accuse Alagic of arranging at least one bogus marriage in which a woman flew to Bosnia and married a man strictly so he could come to the U.S.
