Ohio smoking ban will impact some truckers

A new, state-wide smoking ban that takes effect Thursday in Ohio means truckers who are driving for a company that's based in Ohio will be violating the law if they light up in their cab.

But, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, owner-operators are not affected by the law, nor are drivers for companies based outside of Ohio.

The same law bans smoking in bars, restaurants and in most workplaces.
