While backups last week on Interstate 70 in Missouri were caused by bad weather, delays this week in Indiana will be man-made.

Beginning Wednesday, expect slowdowns on westbound I-70 at the Wabash River Bridge just west of Terre Haute, IN, because of scheduled maintenance work on the bridge.

A state DOT news release said the westbound lanes will be reduced to one lane from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. through Dec. 14.
