Truckers rank highest on OK work-related deaths

Truckers accounted for the most workplace deaths in 2005 in Oklahoma, according to a report released by the state’s Labor Department Friday, Aug. 11.

According to the report, 20 trucker deaths were recorded in 2005, making up 21 percent of the total work-related deaths in the state.

Trucking outranked professions such as mining and construction work in number of fatalities.
