Several instances of diesel theft have been reported in a rural area of Pennsylvania near Bethlehem.
The Express-Times in Eaton, PA, reported that more than 500 gallons of highway grade diesel was stolen from a fuel supplier in Upper Mount Bethel Township, a small town near Belfast, PA.
About 533 gallons of diesel was stolen, along with a 110-volt fuel pump, from Super Heat Inc. sometime overnight on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
The Express-Times said that Pennsylvania State Police are also investigating another report that 620 gallons of red-dyed diesel was siphoned from several pieces of construction equipment in the town over the weekend.
State police Sgt. Joseph Wilson told the Express-Times that two other instances of fuel theft also occurred in the area this month.
