Special Olympics officials in Texas today announced that all four of the fund-raising truck convoys that were scheduled for this weekend have been postponed until a later date.

A spokeswoman told Land Line that with hurricane Rita approaching, safety is the big concern, especially in the Houston area.

The World’s Largest Truck Convoy will get underway in many other states on Saturday.
