Trucker gets sharp surprise through windshield

Most truckers probably have heard – or have their own – stories of strange things hitting their windshields.

Andrew Copeman, a trucker from Australia, may have them beat. Copeman was driving on a highway near Melbourne in the southeastern part of the country one recent night when he heard the sound of shattering glass on the passenger’s side of his windshield.

According to The Border Mail, an Australian newspaper, he switched on the light and made an unusual discovery. There, resting on the passenger seat beside him was a tomahawk.

Copeman said he thought the incident might be related an earlier run-in he had with a sport utility vehicle. Copeman came across the SUV straddling the center line of the highway and moving very slowly. He flashed his lights at him.

Later on, the same vehicle flew past Copeman’s truck at more than 100 miles per hour. Not long after that, the tomahawk was thrown at his truck.
