Mankey is the second obese trucker in less than two months to take issue with the company. On Oct. 5, a jury awarded more than $100,000 to John McDuffy, a 6-foot, 550-pound former employee who was suspended indefinitely by Interstate because he could not operate his truck due to his size.
According to The Oregonian, Mankey claims he was switched to a smaller truck and complained to his supervisors about a too-tight seat belt, and was immediately suspended without pay.
