Snow, high winds close roadways in Colorado, Kansas

Highway officials were hoping to reopen Interstate 70 late Monday, Nov. 28, but as of early afternoon, the roadway was still closed from Denver to the Colorado/Kansas border because of blizzard-like conditions.

At the Flying J at Limon , CO , manager Ron Roof told “Land Line Now” that a number of holiday travelers are stranded and are being put up in homes and churches in the area.

Snow and slush also caused accidents Sunday, Nov. 27, in Nebraska and the Dakotas, and tornadoes – or possibly high winds – destroyed homes in Kansas and Arkansas.
