Prices for diesel continued to drop closer to pre-Hurricane Katrina levels Friday, Nov. 18.

ProMiles reported a national average of $2.567 per gallon, down more than a penny from the previous day. Only Maine reported a slight increase in prices. Washington reported no change overnight.

ProMiles reported a low of $2.334 per gallon in Oklahoma , and a high of $2.864 per gallon in Idaho . Both of those prices were down from the previous day.

Meanwhile, AAA reported a national average of $2.725 per gallon Nov. 18 down nearly two cents from the previous day.

The association reported a low of $2.458 per gallon in Oklahoma and a high of $3.013 per gallon in Idaho .

At the retailer level, Flying J was still reporting low supplies in Mississippi , Georgia , Florida and Missouri Friday, Nov. 18.

Flying J reported a low price of $2.219 per gallon at several stations, including Knoxville , TN , Temple , GA , and Columbia and Blacksburg , SC.

Love’s was reporting a low of $2.239 per gallon at its station in Waco , GA.

Petro was reporting a low price of $2.239 per gallon in Knoxville , TN , down from the previous day’s low of $2.259. Travel Centers of America also reported a low of $2.259 per gallon in Knoxville for the third day in a row. Travel Centers also showed the same price for diesel in Cartersville , GA.

Pilot reported a low price of $2.239 per gallon at several locations, Tallapoosa and Temple , GA , Oak Grove , KY , Lugoff , SC , and Knoxville , TN.
